In this paper, a polarization-insensitive reverse-ridge AlGaAs waveguide is designed for the supercontinuum generation . considered wavelength range from 3.4 to 8 μ m, dispersion profiles, nonlinear coefficients, and effective mode field areas quasi-TE quasi-TM modes coincide well. The simulation results show that when pump pulse with of 4.2 peak power 4.8 kW, width 90 fs launched into anomalous region 3.4-mm-long waveguide, two generated SCs overlap For modes, extend 2.17 8.53 m 2.23 8.61 respectively, spanning more than 1.95 octaves. proposed structure expected provide possible solution alleviating undesired polarization effect related dynamics. • A has been designed. coefficient curves well modes. different conditions on studied. supercontinua

We report the generation of a mid-infrared supercontinuum created by ≈7.5 ps duration pulses at 3260 nm passing through a dispersion engineered As(2)S(3) rib waveguide.
